Description

Semax is a synthetic analogue of the ACTH(4-10) fragment with a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro extension that increases metabolic stability. In research it is studied for its modulation of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression and cholinergic and dopaminergic neurotransmission, and as a neuroprotective model compound in cerebrovascular and cognitive research.
